Why Volunteer?
We need and appreciate the many volunteers it takes to help our sale run smoothly. Volunteering is also a lot of fun! It gives you the opportunity to meet other moms and dads who also want to be part of this great “green” effort to expand the family dollar!
Volunteers receive a pre-sale pass that allows one member of the family to shop our pre-sale event before the sale is open to the general public. ONLY VOLUNTEERS may shop the pre-sale during the volunteer only time slot of the pre-sale. Volunteers work the sale so that they can get the very first shopping time before everyone else. This gives you an opportunity to pick the best items available! We can only allow one person per pre-sale pass.
What are the advantages of Volunteering if I am a Consignor?
You receive a higher percentage of your total sales for volunteering and you also gain entrance to the pre-sale first!!
- Volunteer for one 3-hour shift and you will receive 60% of your total sales
- Volunteer for two 3-hour shifts and you will receive 70% of your total sales
Can I bring children with me while I am Volunteering?
Please do not bring children with you while you work. The sale is very busy.

What types of things will I be doing as a Volunteer?
Volunteers help with setting up racks and tables, with item check in on drop off day, straightening, organizing and customer service on sale days as well as with the item re-sort in preparation for pick up. Men may also volunteer! We need men to help with set up, clean up, floor security and helping shoppers with large items during our Rubber Ducky Kids Sale.
How can I sign up to Volunteer?
You have two options. If you are a consignor, you can let us know when you register that you are interested in volunteering by checking the appropriate box on the form. If you are not consigning with us, but would like to volunteer, you can fill out the Volunteer Registration Form.
